Our workshop is in Nynäshamn, but most jobs we carry out where the vessel stands: in winter storage, in the marina or on a yard's premises. Vessels on a trailer we work on at our place, larger ones on site, once access to power and shelter from the weather is arranged.
Where we work
The core area is the southern part of the Stockholm region — we travel there without adding travel costs. Places further out we cover once the terms of the trip are agreed, and on large yachts also outside Sweden.

The season calendar
Surface work is done ashore, so the rhythm of the year is the same for everyone: lift-out from mid-September to the end of October, work from November to March, launching in April and May. Winter slots are agreed at lift-out — by January there are few openings left, and varnish work has to be planned ahead.
- September – Octoberlift-out, inspection, quote
- November – Marchwork on the vessel
- April – Mayantifouling and launching
- June – Augustonly minor work afloat
How a job runs
- You describe the vessel and the scope, attaching photographs of the whole and of the problem areas.
- We reply with a first assessment: what can be done, what cannot and what order of cost to expect.
- We inspect the vessel on site and give a written quote, with labour and materials listed separately.
- Once accepted, we agree a slot and document progress with photographs.
- Handover takes place at the vessel, together with a walk-through of the work done.
What we need on site
Working away from the workshop needs access to 230 V power, shelter from rain and temperatures above freezing while coatings cure. In winter storage a tent or shrink wrap with a service entrance is usually enough; where there is none, we include cutting one and closing it afterwards in the quote.
What we do not do
We do not work on electrical, plumbing or gas installations, nor do we service engines. Where a job requires it, we agree the split of work with a workshop holding the right qualifications and work alongside them.
Common questions
Do you come to the marina where the boat is kept?
Yes, on larger vessels that is the standard way of working. We need access to power and shelter from the weather; we bring the rest of the tools with us. The terms of the trip are agreed before work starts.
Do you work through the winter?
Yes, winter is the main season for surface work on a vessel. The condition is shelter and temperatures above freezing while coatings cure — outdoors at a few degrees, varnish and gelcoat will not reach their stated properties.
How long is the wait for a slot?
It depends on the time of year. Jobs reported at lift-out, in September and October, go into the winter slots. Enquiries from February and March usually wait for the following season, unless the work is minor.
Do you work outside the Stockholm area?
On large yachts, yes — we carry out travelling service jobs, including outside Sweden. The place, timing, scope and travel cost are agreed each time before work starts.
