Charter

How much a yacht charter costs

The price of the yacht is not everything — deposit, transit log, fuel, marinas and cleaning. What the cost of a trip really consists of.

The superyacht Lady Lau in Bonifacio

The weekly charter price is the starting point, but rarely the whole bill. On top of it come compulsory and variable costs that are worth working out in advance.

The transit log (end fee) covers cleaning, bed linen, water and gas — usually €150–350 (≈$174–407). The deposit is security returned after the trip; it can be reduced by buying a deposit waiver package.

Add fuel, marina and mooring buoy fees (in the Mediterranean these can be a surprise), a skipper if you need one, and provisions. Chartering outside the peak season can be 30–40% cheaper.
